1. Rich Hutton, filling in for Pres. Eric Barter, said that Eric just had his final treatment and wasn’t quite up to conducting the meeting. Rich also had talked to Bob Novell and said he is doing very well after his mishap on the hiking trail.
  2. Pres. Eric called Frank Griffith, Bob Harbicht, and Bruce McCallum to the podium and presented them with new membership pins in advance of them bringing in potential members. As others introduce new members to the club, they will be presented with the membership pins as well.
  3. Paula Real announced the Holiday Party on Dec. 2nd at the home of Ernie and Gale Jensen. Raffle tickets will be sold at the event and there will be many nice prizes, including Dodger tickets, Rose Parade seats, Speaker Series tickets, Rotary designer bags, baskets, and many more. If you can’t attend, contact Paula to purchase raffle tickets.
  4. John Wilson brought to our attention a Boys and Girls Club fundraising event at Annandale C.C. The Festival of Trees is a black tie event and the cost is $150 per person. Please contact John if you are interested.
  5. Mike Ojeda advised that the Nov. 30th meeting will be at the Arboretum at noon. 
  6. Mike had a few Rotary shirts on display at the meeting and said they were for sale at $20 each. Contact Mike to see if he has any left in your size.
  7. Our annual Christmas Party will be held on Dec. 14th, according to Dr. Tom Miles. Tom encouraged us to bring guests including children as Santa will make an appearance. We will have a turkey lunch and sing Christmas carols.
  8. The L.A. Car Show is slated for Nov. 30 through Dec. 7. If you would like to go, please contact Steve Fong who has complementary tickets for the event.
