John Murphy announced that the next work party for the garden project at the Boys and Girls Club is scheduled for next Saturday 7/27. A trench is going to be dug for the installation of the irrigation line. Please be there by 8:00 am. The work should only take about 2 hours and … of course there will be coffee and donuts, and there was even a rumor that there might be margaritas!

Ashley Andrews announced that the next club social event will be a pot luck dinner and family friendly event at the Pasadena Symphony at the LA County Arboretum on Saturday 8/10. The concert that night will be “Classical Mystery Tour – the Music of the Beatles”, with the show beginning at 7:30 pm.

Rob Granger announced that our speaker next week will be none other than former University of Southern California wide receiver J. K. McKay. He’ll speak on Trojan football, past, present and future. Rob suggested all you SC Alumni and SC fans bring your Cardinal & Gold memorabilia and show your Trojan spirit by decorating the tables with everything SC. As for myself … I’ll be looking for the table decorated with the Crimson and White of the Chico State Wildcats (… and I’ll probably be sitting alone!).

Finally, TG Metzger announced that the Taste of Arcadia will be held on Monday 9/23 from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Peter Dills will be one of the hosts of this great event and this year there will be a Monday Night Football tent. Tickets are $50 until the end of July. TG told us how much he’s looking forward to a good turnout from our club. Please see TG for more information.
