The memorial service for Sam Falzone will be on Friday, May 3rd at 10 AM. It will be at Holy Angels Church in Arcadia. There will be a reception afterward from 12 noon to 2 PM.
Mike Real is selling raffle tickets for a large, framed color photo of our last Field of Honor. The tickets are 1 for a dollar, 3 for $5, and 7 for $10. He will have them available at the next meeting.
On Saturday, May 4th, the Arcadia Fire Dept. will have their Pancake Breakfast at the station at Baldwin and Huntington. It will start at 7 AM. We will have a booth at the event where we will advertise our club. If you can help, contact Hsiao Chen.
Tony Parrille has a new date for the Day at the Races. It will be May 17 in the Frontrunner Restaurant. Please let Tony know if you can attend. He will be taking reservations at the next 2 meetings.
The Salute to Seniors luncheon will be on Tuesday, May 7th. Contact George Fasching if you can help. We will start setting up the tables at 9:30.
Sunday, May 19 at 1 PM, we will have the opening ceremonies for the Field of Honor. On Saturday, May 18, we will set up the field with the flags. Mike Real would like us to be their at 8 AM.
The Progressive Dinner is scheduled for June 1st. It will start at 5:30 PM with drinks and appetizers at Imy Dulake’s home, followed by dinner at other member’s homes. There will be a signup sheet at our next meeting.
