Finemaster Ken Chan tried his magic. First came a game he called Happy Moments-Happy Bucks. Then he explained the new Getting Out Of Jail card followed by Paying Over your $100 annual minimum fine.   Only the magic ,man understood all these new rules but what the heck—it’s magic. First he fined himself $50 for vacationing in Virginia (yes Virginia) and visiting China Town (yes China Town).
In the meantime, Eric Barter thought of a Happy Moment—the Dodgers acquired star short stop Manny Machado.
Ken called on Gina Post-Franco (USC) and Jack Lamb (UCLA) to remember the two most lopsided football scores between these two teams. Gina agreed to a $43 fine each to go on top of the $100 if missed. They both missed.
The games were USC winning 76 to 0 in 1929 and UCLA winning 39 to 0 in 1950.
So there you have it. A whole year of magic is ahead.
