Deputy Finemaster Bob Harbicht called first on Jack McRae, questioning whether he had access to weather reports on his cell phone.  After being assured that Jack had been aware of the cold rainy forecast, Bob next wondered at Jack’s decision to wear shorts that day.  Jack’s defense that he had been “cut-off and was ‘short’ of funds” did not save him from a fine of $50.

The club songbooks have been missing the past several weeks and Song Leader Dan Place was put on the spot.  No previous Song Leader has lost the songbooks; he has outdone them all.  Deputy Finemaster Bob proposed that Dan be fined each week until the songbooks are found, but was assured that new ones will be ordered if they are not found soon.  Assurances aside, Dan was fined $50.

Just returned from a three-week trip to Israel, Terry Earll shared that, far from being his first trip, he used to work there.  Now that Terry has sold his business and pays no rent on his office space, Deputy Finemaster Bob wondered if Terry was living off of his wife’s real estate business.  Terry seems pleased with his role as Gitta’s “arm candy” and was fined $100 for his life of leisure.

A new gym is in town, Anytime Fitness, and Jim Pontello is a regular.  Located at the corner of Santa Anita and Foothill, the new owner was Jim’s guest and offered not only one month free but to pay Jim’s fine.  Her generosity did not save Jim from his fine of $50.

Next, it was noted that Francine Chiu frequents another gym, which she describes the “poor gym” at Second and Wheeler.  Although she pointed out that other members go to the “posh gym” at Westfield Mall, she didn’t avoid a fine of $50.  Perhaps she can get her fine refunded if she goes to Anytime Fitness.

Imy Dulake and her husband have purchased a new home in the Highland Oaks area where she’ll be neighbors with John Murphy and Jim Pontello.  Her mother is going to live with them in their new home.  Their old home was put on the market and since Imy is her own realtor, she should save some money in commission.  Deputy Finemaster Bob let her off easy by relieving her of only $50 of her savings.
