I was Finemaster and Reporter for Fines and Recognitions this week, which makes me very proud of my cerebral cortex. On the topic of intelligence, Jim Helms was the first to be fined $50 for retiring from his law practice this month after decades of ethical and competent practice in this area. Next was Brian Hall for securing numerous, recent stamps in his passport and aiding a number of other fellow travelers with such stamps. He was fined $50 and then another $10 for requesting a rose this week when we celebrated his anniversary last week. Bankers. Kathy Ellison, Jim Pontello and Bob Harbicht were fined $50, each, for purchasing new walking shoes on sale, or saving money by using old ones, for a recent trip to the Cotswolds. That’s in England, Matt Weaver. Imy Dulake found a huge purse full of money…like, huge. She was given a $50 credit for turning it in and Rosie Mares was fined $50 for losing it. Imy was then fined $50 for a potential commission on an impressive piece of real estate, one of many for her, that she has listed in Arcadia. So, Imy’s fine was $0. Finally, Dan Place is back and leading us in song better than ever. Dr. Hoey offered to stand in for him while he was sick and arranged his schedule accordingly. Because Dan returned early, Dr. Hoey can go back to his Optometry practice and earn lots of money, so he was fined $50. In fact, I am writing this column using a prescription he gave me and it’s pretty good. You can all make your checks out to cash and give them to me next week.
