Teacher of the Month

Joel Shawn introduced our teacher of the month, Laurie Morton. She has been teaching for 28 years, and currently is at the Longley Way Elementary School. Laurie was accompanied by the school principal Travis Long. She said her teaching career has been very rewarding, and she is now giving back to the community through her membership in Las Alas, the arm of Assistance League for working women. Joel presented Laurie with a Rotary plaque, a school district certificate, and a check for $100 from the club.
