1.  Membership Chairman Mike Ojeda urged everyone to bring prospective members to the club meetings.

2.  Bob Post announced that the 1st Annual Golf Tournament for the Boys & Girls Club sponsored by Post Alarm Systems will be held 09/15/2011 at Brookside Golf Course.  Contact Bob or Post Alarm System for applications and further details.

3.  Bob Harbicht anounced that the Progressive Dinner wil be held on Friday 09/30/2011.  6 members have offered their houses, but he still needs more houses.  Contact Bob directly for more details.

4.  George Fasching announced that Dick Martinez was the winner of the 1st Arcadia Rotary Club Gas for Life Award with the prize being a plate of re-fried beans (probably taken from the buffet line).  Congratulations Dick!

5.  Eric Barter thanked everyone who helped out at the multi-club picnic and barbecue held on 08/20/2011 at Lake Arrowhead which was a big success.  District Governor Doug Fowler and his wife attended.

6.  President Brad announced that the membership roster is ready to be printed but there are several members, especially newer members, who will not have their pictures in the roster unless they provide a picture by the cut off date which is  Monday 08/29/2011.  Contact Brad for further details.

7.  The District announced that Group Study Exchange (GSE) team member applications are due Tuesday 09/06/2011.  GSE applicants should be between 25 and 40, with at least 2 years of work experience in their profession.  They should live or work within the District.  Rotary Foundation guidelines stipulate that team members cannot be related to Rotarians by blood or marriage (children, step-children, grandchildren, spouses, etc. )  The District encourages interested applicants to view GSE information at:  www.district 5300.org/use/index/html.  For questions, contact Charlie Barr at (909) 921-6606.  Completed applications should be faxed to (866) 354-7099 (toll free to sender) or mail to Charles M.
