The Adobe restoration project is beginning with a study of the existing structure to determine what steps must be taken to stop any deterioration being caused by water penetration into walls and roof. Study recommendations will guide a subsequent sabilization program, and set the stage for the Baldwin Adobe restoration effort.

The Korean Garden project is re-launching with a fundraising feasibility study that will assess available philanthropy and timetables for creating the nation’s first public Korean Garden at the Los Angeles County Arboretum.

Investing in new irrigation systems to improve water conservation is an important goal for the Arboretum in coming years. Using the Peter Drucker planning process for non-profits, a strategic plan will guide this and other efforts. Input from Arcadia and other communities served by the Arboretum will be an important part of the process.
