Jim Helms announced his retirement, and the club celebrated his and Kathy Ellison’s birthdays. Of course, Jim was slightly her senior at 94 years young.
OPERATION COMMUNITY CARES – Arcadia Rotary is donating a check for $1,000, which goes to pack and send care packages to the troops serving in foreign lands. These packages contain food, toilet paper and notes you care to send. They are much appreciated. Nov. 2, Saturday they will be Packing boxes in Rancho Cucamonga, if you are interested in helping out.

RISE AGAINST HUNGER – is having an event Saturday, October 19th, at the Arcadia High School, to raise money to send food packages to those in need, especially in the Bahamas.
Monrovia Rotary is hosting a Community Fundraiser Casino Night – “Pirates of Monrovia,” Saturday, October 21, from 6PM to 10 PM at the Monrovia Historical Museum.
