Saturday, May 6: Pancake Breakfast for the Arcadia Fire Fighters with a booth to sell flags. will take place at the Fire Station on the corner of Baldwin and Huntington. (per Bob Harbicht)

Tuesday, May 9 – The Senior Lunch will take place at Arcadia Community Center. Fritz Coleman will be the guest entertainer. (per George Fasching)

Wednesday, May 10. The monthly Board meeting will take place at Matt Denny’s. (per Tony Parrille)

Friday, May 19 through Saturday, May 20, the District Conference will take place in Palm Springs.

Saturday, May 20 through Tuesday, May 30, the Field of Honor will be on display at Arcadia County Park. (per Bob Harbicht), with the opening ceremony on Sunday, May 21 at 1 p.m. (per Mimi Hennessy.)
— There was a full page advertisement of the Field and its honorees and sponsors on page 16 of the May 5, 2017 edition of the Pasadena Star News (the official media sponsor).
— There will be two diesel-filled light standards lighting up the field to be turned on at night (6:30 p.m.) and off in the morning (8 a.m.). They will need to be re-filled with diesel fuel by volunteers.
— The flags were put together at Pat Dolphin’s warehouse by Rotarians John Murphy, Sam Falzone, Ernie Jensen, and others.
— There will be a sign-up sheet next week for putting together the Field, i.e., setting up the flags at the Arcadia County Park site -(with Teri Muse handing out the sign-up sheet).
— Flags will be sold (a) on Saturday, May 6 at a booth at the Arcadia Fire Fighters Pancake Breakfast, the booth being manned in two shifts: 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m, and 9:30 a.m. to noon.
and (b) at the kiosk at the Westfield Mall center court provided by Westfield Santa Anita, a gold sponsor (cf. Teri Muse to volunteer).
— All funds go to charity, 2/3 of which are Rotary charities: Teacher mini-grants, youth leadership training, Boy Scouts, polio eradication, clean water projects around the world, etc..

Friday, June 30, 2017 will be the installation of Arcadia Rotary’s officers and directors for the 2017-2018 operating year. (per Eric Barter).
