Dick Martinez announces that Arcadia Rotary has purchased 20 wheel chairs with a joint effort from Tijuana Rotary for people that will finally gain some mobility there. Mark your calendars! The annual Tijuana Amigos Project for the orphanage which is between Tecate and East Tijuana is April 16 and 17. We will be replacing all the lighting which will reduce their power cost by 50%. Sign up sheets will be available at next Rotary meeting.

Bob Harbicht is reminding us that we are in the sales phase for Field of Honor which is coming up in two and a half months. Get those flags sold! Dates are May 21 through May 29.

Ed Beranek informs us that Arcadia Rotary hasn’t had a dues raise since 2010. Embassy suites raised their rates $2.00 per person however our own reserve helps us out for a mere $21.67 to $22.42 for regular member’s lunch.

Rosie Mares says next Saturday is BOD’S (Board of Directors) training session for the people coming on the new Board. It’s from 9:00am to 12:30pm at the Western University Education Center in Pomona. She will contact the new Board members for possible ride share.

Aaron Rose is pleased to announce that the Arroyo Pacific Group is granted the right to have a “sleep out” to bring awareness and money to help fight homelessness. More to come in a couple weeks.
