1.  Pres. Pat announced a joint project with the Sierra Madre Rotary Club. Rise Against Hunger will be held at La Salle H.S. on Saturday Oct. 27, at 9 AM. We will be packaging 20,000 meals for the needy, and our club’s goal is to pack 11,000 of the meals.
  2.  We will be DARK on Aug. 31, the day before the Labor Day weekend.
  3. Ashley Smith and family made it safely to Joplin Missouri,  where they were met with a tournedo.  But they are safe.
  4. The Team Leadership Conference (TLC) will take place at the Senior Learning Center Friday through Sunday, November 30 through December 2, 2018.
  5. Arcadia’s Moon Festival will be celebrated at the City Hall September 29, 2018, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
  6. The Moonlight Forest and the Magical Lantern Art Festival will be performed at the Arboretum October 26 through January 6,  Wednesdays through Sundays, from 5:30 to 10 PM.
  7. Rotary Foundation awarded John Murphy with the crystal art piece symbolizing his tenth Rotary Foundation donation of one thousand dollars.  Through his and others’ generous donations, Rotary has been able to vaccinate over 2.5 billion children, thus preventing them from the ravages of polio.
