Dick Martinez announced the upcoming dinner at the Double Tree Hotel on Friday, June 25th. It starts at 6 pm with dinner scheduled for 7 PM. If you haven’t signed up, please call Dick to make your reservation. There is no charge for members and spouses or a guest.

RELAY FOR LIFE CANCER WALK – JUNE 26

The event will start at 11 AM with lunch served at noon. The location is the Santa Anita Race Track infield. Enter at Gate 6 across from Pepper’s Restaurant and proceed through the tunnel at the south end of the parking lot to the infield. Go left to booth 23 where you will find the Arcadia Rotary. If you haven’t signed up for this event and would like to attend, please call Tony Parrille.

JIM KUHN RECOVERING AT ARCADIA METHODIST

Keith Brown announced that Jim suffered a slight stroke and is recovering in the hospital. As he is getting bored with the confinement, any calls from his fellow Rotarians would be appreciated.

INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBER ROBERT GRANGER

Past President Rich Hutton, filling in for Imy, presented our newest member, Rob Granger. Rob was joined by his sponsors, Sho Tay and Al Laghab. Rob has a tutoring business in Arcadia and his classification is “Education – Tutorial”. Rob and Jim Helms have something in common: both are graduates of the University of the South, Sewanee.

FATHER’S DAY RECOGNITION

Esma Ali selected some deserving fathers who all received a gift. The lucky recipients were Frank Perini, Art Killian, Ben Goland, Ken Mallory, Bruce McCullum, and Dan Bayer. Esma also selected the most good looking father. Contestants were Jeff Tookey, John Fee and Dave McMonigle, and John Fee was the lucky winner!
