Impact starts with our members — people like you who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
From its earliest days, Rotary has emphasized ethical leadership and integrity in professional life. One of the most recognized expressions of this commitment is The Four-Way Test—a 24-word ethical guide created in 1932 by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor to save a failing company. Its principles proved so effective that Rotary adopted it in 1943, and it has since been translated into more than 100 languages. Today, The Four-Way Test remains a cornerstone of Rotary values, guiding how members think, speak, and act in both business and community service.
