The Arcadia Rotary Club was founded in 1927. That year Calvin Coolidge was president, a bottle of Coca Cola cost 5 cents, cigars cost $3.95 for a box of 50, Babe Ruth hit sixty home runs and Al Jolson starred in the first full length talking film, “The Jazz Singer.” Next year marks the club’s 90th anniversary.
