Finemaster Bob Harbicht has been looking for an opportunity to tamp down Howell Tyson’s rowdy behavior – apparently his table mates have been complaining.  Howell was given the chance to reduce his fine if he could correctly identify the newly-installed president of the Arcadia Chinese Association in a photo.  After incorrectly guessing twice, Finemaster Bob divulged that the new president was our own Aaron Rose.  Howell was fined $50 with no discount for passing the quiz.

Jeff Johnson was another of Finemaster Bob’s long-looked-for targets.  Asked whether he had any news to share, Jeff announced that his daughter is getting married on November 12.  He approves of her intended but, as Finemaster Bob noted, he won’t have much money left after the event, so $100 was collected to honor the marriage of Jeff’s only child.

Caught while getting pie, Judge Bruce Marrs was recognized for running unopposed in the current county-wide election.  Since he is saving a substantial amount of his own money – or as he argued, saving his collection of money in support of his campaign – he was fined $100 along with the hearty congratulations of his fellow Rotarians.
