She said “I brought him home when I was 21 years old. I was a newlywed. I felt bad when I found out he had no one to care for him.” Then she wiped tears , took a deep breath and told us “now I have 32 kids, 3 of them are from my flesh and the rest are destined to be with me… they could stay here as long as they want, they are my family, I want them to finish college, find a decent job, then to start their own family, they could leave when they are ready.” That what Beatrice “Kiser” Morales told us.

Beatriz Morales (“Kiser”) is a beautiful soft spoken woman. It seems that she was touched by an angel, or perhaps she is the angel. When her in-laws gave her piece of land, she decided to make it an orphanage. She loves the kids in the orphanage and she is a mom to all of them. She shares their joys and sorrows. They mean the whole world to her. Kiser’s quest is to see them succeed; her desire is to see them happy. All these things happen in a place called Casa Hogar Rancho del Nino Nueva. To Kiser and her kids, it’s called home.

There are 26 boys and only 3 girls in Casa Hogar. However, as the number of females is increasing, so is the need for a new dorm. To manage this increasing number of children, Casa Hogar also needs a laundry and storage room. I am very glad to announce that our club decided to get together with Rotary Club of Tijuana to bring Kiser and these children’s dreams to reality and make a difference in their lives. I am encouraging everyone to be involved. We need all the manpower we can get to build additions to Casa Hogar.  Casa Hogar could also benefit from a used truck or van to service the children.  The children need our help; please reach out and be involved!

On behalf of all the children at Casa Hogar, I would like to thank you for all your support.
