It is with great sadness that we announce that Teri Muse’s mother passed away on March 8th. All of us at Arcadia Rotary wish to express our sincere condolences to Teri and her family.

The club’s social event at the Magic Castle will be on Sunday 03/22/2015. Those signed up should plan on meeting at the Magic Castle at 5:20 p.m. Please note that there is a mandatory dress code at the Magic Castle, which is coat and tie for men and evening attire for women.

The club’s annual fundraiser will be a Monte Carlo Night on Saturday 04/18/2015, at the Arcadia Community Center. We’ve sold out of sponsorship opportunities thanks to all those who have so generously contributed.  Now all that’s left for us to do is to donate lots of raffle and silent auction prizes (see Glenn Oyoung, Teri Muse, or Erich Rail), attend the event on the 18th, and have fun (and spend lots of money!).

The club’s annual Salute to Seniors will be held on Tuesday 05/12/2015 at the Arcadia Community Center at noon. More details to come.

San Marino Rotary announced that they are supporting the “United for Vet’s” project to construct a medical clinic for veterans on the Pasadena City College campus. PCC has given land on the campus for the clinic for $1. They have received a federal grant for the construction of the clinic, and they are seeking outside contributions for the balance, including contributions from Rotarians and the club’s foundation. Everyone is asked to contribute to this worthy cause.

Don’t forget that we’ll be meeting at MATT DENNY”S on Friday 03/20/2015 – we WON’T be meeting at Embassy Suites.

Finally, future Club President Tony Parrille let us know that volunteers are needed to help at the Annual Arcadia Invitational Track Meet. It will be held at Arcadia High School on April 10th and April 11th. Please see Tony if you can help, and remember … when a future Club President asks for help we all pitch in!
