• Member updates: Dan Place is home and resting comfortably. He should return to our meeting in a week or two. We were glad to see Frank Perini at the meeting. He has been away for a few weeks with health issues.
  • On Feb. 24 our meeting will be held in the evening at Holly Elementary School. We will have the music and speech contests, and Ken Chan will present the winners of the teacher’s and student’s mini-grants. We will be dark at Embassy Suites.
  • Our Day at the Races has been changed to Mar. 24. We will be dark at Embassy Suites that day.
  • On April 22, Sat.,we will have our Casino Night at the Arcadia Community Center. The event is being organized by Jim Pontello.
  • On April 28 our meeting will be held at the Arboretum’s Peacock Cafe. For details contact Jim Pontello.
  • Bob Harbicht, chairman of the Field of Honor event coming up around Memorial Day, is looking for sponsors at various levels, from silver to platinum. He has had a very good response so far, and is looking for more sponsors.
  • Gil Stromsoe presented Jim Rider with a Paul Harris Fellow plus 5 pin. He also presented Jim’s sister Mimi with a Paul Harris Fellow pin, a donation that Jim made in her honor. Sandra Caldero was honored with a Paul Harris Fellow plus 1 pin for her donation.
